SANTA'S SLEIGH RIDE

The old bearded one with his reindeer & red cloak was in evidence again. Riding on his sleigh through the highways & byways of Bedworth, Bulkington & environs. This week - long event has now become a firm favourite with young and old alike. We had a great many more people waiting for us on route & also people who followed the sleigh in their various vehicles to get a glimpse of Santa. The Deputy Mayor Cllr Barry Longden and Deputy Mayoress Joan Longden with Past Lion President Allen on the first sleigh run of 2014.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU! for the monies raised during the event. A BIG thank you to Arbury for providing "Rudolph the Diesel Reindeer" Thank you one and all for your contributions. We hope that the Santa tracker recently introduced, helped people find Santa on route, more easily.

Santa was ably assisted by Members of the Scouting Association along with the families & many people who are good friends of Bedworth Lions Club, to numerous to name individually. Thanks to Brierley Windows for allowing the use of their premises. Thanks to the good people who invited us in to their homes, and those provided seasonal hospitality on route, and those who added to the fun each night. A great big thank you to Bedworth Civic Hall allowing collections to be made at Bedworth Civic Hall. Sadly now Closed
